IVMF Comments on First Two Female Soldiers to Graduate from U.S. Army Ranger School

Elizabeth Kubala, Senior Director for Strategy and Performance at the Institute for Veterans and Military families at Syracuse University was excited to witness history on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015,  when the first two women graduated from the U.S. Army’s elite Ranger School, after completing weeks of grueling physical training.  As WAER’s John Smith reports, Kubala–who retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel following 22 years of active service–feels the women who completed U.S. Army Ranger Training will minimize the focus on gender in the future.
