Aixa Escobar

Escobar joined the IVMF team following graduation from California State University San Marcos in 2015. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Onward to Opportunity (O2O), formerly known as the Veteran Career Transition Program (VCTP) aboard Camp Pendleton, California. As Program Coordinator, she is the first point of contact for all O2O participants on the base and in the surrounding area, responsible for answering all program inquiries and enrolling them into the program.

Escobar is a Marine veteran with over ten years of active duty service. During that time, she served as a Communications Electronics Maintenance technician. During her service, Escobar completed a combat tour in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004 as well as a tour in Ramadi, Iraq from 2005-2006.

After her military service, Escobar decided against going back home to New Jersey and decided to attend college in Southern California. During this time, she became an active member of the Student Veteran’s Organizations on campus where she served as a Veterans Service Technician

Escobar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University San Marcos and an Associates in Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Palomar College.
