Anthony Bush joined the IVMF team in mid-May of 2016. He is one of two Program Coordinators for the Onward to Opportunity (O2O), formerly known as the Veteran Career Transition Program (VCTP), for the Tri-Base Jacksonville, FL area which is host to numerous military installations with the largest being Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport and Navy Submarine Base Kings Bay.
Anthony has served a highly honorable career in the U.S. Navy and retired in 2012 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8) Aviation Electronics Technician. While in the military Anthony specialized in the maintenance of the P-3 Orion aircraft and H-60 Seahawk helicopters. He has extensive experience in developing efficient processes through Lean Six Sigma and implementing organizational change saving the military hundreds of thousands of dollars. During his last tour as Naval Air Engineering Center’s Assistant OIC (Officer-In-Charge) at remote field site in Mayport, FL, he discovered his passion for helping others excel in their professional growth by evaluating and training personnel in maintenance and logistics processes. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment in helping others lead him to coach the youth basketball team at the local YMCA. That, in turn, inspired him to become a mentor to under privileged young adults graduating from high school. Anthony feels it to be his obligation to speak about the value of the military and the importance of going to college.
Anthony graduated Magna cum Laude from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science in Administration specializing in Human Resource Administration. He has also received 1 Commendation and 8 Achievement medals for his outstanding leadership and team building abilities as well as his astute attention to detail and impeccable quality assurance standards.
