Rocha came to the Onward to Opportunity-Veterans Career Transition Program through an established relationship with the Joint Base Lewis-McChord transition services team.
Her successful management of the Northwest Edge Program resulted in Washington State Office of Financial Management receiving the National Association of State Personnel Executives (NASPE), Eugene H. Rooney, Jr. Leadership Award for innovation in human resources practices.
As a volunteer on the Washington State Military Transition Council, Rocha is helping to ensure that transitioning service members and their spouses in Washington State have access to skill building opportunities and networking events to properly prepare them to be equally competitive as their civilian counterparts.
Rocha holds a Bachelors Degree in Workforce Education and Development and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education and Training.
Rocha lives in the Tacoma, Washington area with her husband (U.S. Army, retired) and four children.
