Jarod Perkioniemi

Jarod is originally from Farmington Hills, MI and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2003. He served on Active Duty for 13 years, including two years as a recruiter, deploying to Kuwait to support Operation Iraqi Freedom, deploying to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom, and working at the Army Public Affairs Center as the Training Development Manager for the entire career field. After leaving the Army as Sergeant First Class, he began working at the National Park Service (NPS) in Washington D.C. During his tenure at NPS, he realized that while he enjoyed the public affairs career field, his true passion is working with service members and other veterans, and helping people achieve their goals through mentorship and counseling.

Jarod holds a B.A. in Communications from Thomas Edison State University, and an M.S. in Management from St. John Fisher College in June 2018.

He is married to Laura Perkioniemi and has an 18-month-old son, named Viktor.
