JR is responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with IVMF students and assists with questions or concerns regarding certificate coursework, program offerings, and career advice. She is also accountable for processing registrations for follow-on certifications, maintaining student records toward program completion, and contributing to the team’s overall student retention goals.

JR served on Active Duty for 22 years as an Army Public Affairs Specialist. During this time, she served in a variety of positions to include: radio DJ and producer, television news anchor, public affairs officer, Advanced Individual Training platoon sergeant, and Brigade Operations Non-commissioned Officer. JR also deployed with the 10th Mountain Division as part of the surge for both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Following her retirement from the Army, JR wanted to continue working with service members and families to help them achieve their goals through education, mentorship and counseling.

JR holds a B.S. in Television, Radio and Film from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, and is also a graduate of the 2006 Military Motion Media Program at Syracuse University. Currently, she is working on a Master of Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma.

She is married to Jason Williams, also an Army veteran, and they have a daughter, named Reilly.
