Kathryn Warren currently serves as the Onward to Opportunity Installation Manager for Camp Pendleton and San Diego, California. She is responsible for the local management, coordination and administration of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families’ Onward to Opportunity program which provides professional certification and job placement support to transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses.
Kathryn is a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. She served as a defense financial manager and completed numerous assignments including a deployment to Iraq. Achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, Kathryn was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, among others.
Upon completion of active duty, Kathryn worked as a store manager for the Target Corporation and served on the executive team of several stores in San Diego County. Kathryn also worked as a Department of Labor career transition workshop facilitator at assigned locations throughout San Diego County.
Kathryn holds a bachelor’s degree in business management human resources from Park University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, attending their Executive MBA program.
