Kicia Sears is a Program Evaluation Manager, providing quality and impact evaluation to the entrepreneurship portfolio of programs. She began her work at the IVMF while completing a master’s capstone project, providing operations and management consulting to the Syracuse Veterans Legal Clinic at the Syracuse University School of Law. At Maxwell, she focused on post-incarceration reintegration and reentry programs and policies.
Sears joins the IVMF after working as a Mitigation Specialist for the Center for Community Alternatives and five years as adjunct faculty in the Syracuse University Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition. She also served as a writing consultant to graduate and undergraduate students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications, and as an adjunct professor in writing at LeMoyne College.
Sears earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in June 2016. She also completed her Master of Arts in English in 2013 and her bachelor’s in English and Anthropology in 2008, both at Syracuse University.
She photographs and writes about Syracuse men’s basketball for SNY.tv’s The Juice Online. She is a native of Syracuse, NY.
