Leah Lazarz joined IVMF and OVMA in April 2018 as its communications manager. She works to promote visibility and advancement of military-connected students and veterans both at Syracuse University and on a national level.
Prior to IVMF/OVMA Leah worked within Syracuse University’s central marketing and communications team where she served as the digital and social media manager for Enrollment Management; a post she assumed in July 2015. In this position, she played a critical role in developing and implementing social and digital media strategies at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to support and advance recruitment, yield, retention and financial aid goals.
Leah came to the University from Eric Mower + Associates in Syracuse, where she served as a content manager for nearly four years. In that capacity, she wrote, planned and published traditional and digital content, including social media, for the agency and well-known brands such as Kodak and Dixie. Prior to that, she served as the marketing communications specialist for Cascade Sports in Liverpool.
She holds a degree in communications from Le Moyne College, where she was also a member of the women’s lacrosse team. She is presently a member of the steering committee for the Central New York (CNY) chapter of 100 Women Who Care, a collective of 100+ CNY women committed to local causes and service.
