Lezlie has been in her role serving the IVMF’s Veterans Career Transition Program (VCTP) since April 2016. In this role, she is responsible for working closely with VCTP students, addressing student questions and concerns, assessing skills and translating them into individual development plans, processing student registrations, monitoring progress and ensuring course requirements are met, providing career services such as reviewing resumes and assisting with job searches, and contributing to the VCTP team goals.
Lezlie is an Army veteran, having served on Active Duty from 2000-2004 and followed on to serve in the Army Reserves until retirement as a Sergeant First Class in early 2016. During her service she held various roles such as a Nuclear, Biological Chemical (NBC) Sergeant, Cultural Liaison, Morale Welfare and Recreation NCOIC, and Senior Human Resources Sergeant with duty locations at Ft. Hood. TX, Camp Humphreys, S. Korea, Camp Victory, KU (Deployed in support of OIF), Camp Atterbury, IN and several Reserve units along the East coast.
Prior to joining the IVMF in April 2016, she worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Usherwood Office Technology, in Syracuse, NY. There she was responsible for developing and implementing long-term, strategic initiatives for internal and external stakeholders such as developing and implementing a managed network services Technical Assistance and Customer Care Center, implementing a human resources information system, and overseeing several marketing initiatives.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude for her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute for Technology and holds a Master of Business Administration specializing in Entrepreneurship at Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.
