Kapral is Director of Development for the Institute for Veterans and Military Families and the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs. In this role, she is responsible for advancement and development of national relationships with government, business, philanthropic, nonprofit sectors, and individuals who have an interest in supporting Syracuse University’s commitment to the military and veteran community.

Kapral joined Syracuse University in December of 2010 and previously directed the entrepreneur program portfolio, including Boots to Business (B2B), Boots to Business Reboot, Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) and the Entrepreneurship for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) and the Entrepreneurship for Veterans with Disabilities Families (EBV-F). She also managed the IVMF advising and enrollment teams ensuring streamlined processes and excellent customer service.

Kapral has extensive experience in program management, operations, sales generation, personnel development, and marketing in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining the IVMF, Kapral was the program manager of a nonprofit organization. She executed programming, managed a $1M budget, collaborated with 100+ volunteers, and assisted in the development of a volunteer training program with an evaluation process to ensure continuity in delivering the mission.

Kapral holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management from Le Moyne College and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She holds advanced study certifications in Non Profit Management and Conflict Resolution.
