Kapral leads the entrepreneur program portfolio of IVMF and will have the responsibility for administration, building and overseeing entrepreneurship education programs, strategic relationships with government, business, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors. Specifically, the job will include developing strategies and policies to design, build, deploy, and oversee IVMF’s entrepreneur initiatives. Programs include Boots to Business (B2B), Boots to Business Reboot, Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) and the Entrepreneurship for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) and the Entrepreneurship for Veterans with Disabilities Families (EBV-F). Kapral also provides oversight and has administrative responsibilities for the IVMF advising and enrollment teams to ensure streamlined processes and excellent customer service.
Kapral joined Syracuse University in December of 2010, as a Program Manager of the program V-WISE for IVMF. Kapral has a diverse background in program management, operations, sales, and marketing in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Previous to IVMF, Kapral was the program manager of a nonprofit organization. She executed programming, managed budget, collaborated with 100+ volunteers, and assisted in the development of a volunteer training program with an evaluation process to ensure continuity in delivering the mission. Prior to this, Kapral supervised the internal sales team at a wireless technology company. Kapral developed and implemented sales training programs, created standard operations manuals and ensured internal controls to improve data integrity and the customer experience. Previous to this, Kapral directed a staff of 50 at a major retailer. She was responsible for sales generation, operations, and personnel.
Kapral holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management from Le Moyne College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University. She holds advanced study certifications in Non Profit Management and Conflict Resolution.
