Vanessa Marquette joined the IVMF team back in 2016. She is responsible for all social media channels and assists with various other marketing communications materials for the IVMF and all of its programs and services. Marquette came to IVMF with strong military knowledge as both of her parents are retired military, her husband was an active-duty soldier for eight years, and several of her other family members have served or are currently serving. She has worked on two military installations, contributing to the lives of soldiers and their families.
Marquette graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in journalism/mass communication. Prior to IVMF, Marquette lived in Fort Bragg, NC, and Fort Benning, GA, while her husband served as an active-duty Infantry Officer. She worked in Fort Benning’s Maneuver Center of Excellence, Public Affairs Office as a journalist for the Bayonet & Saber newspaper. She also worked as the marketing specialist at Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union from November 2012 to June 2015, where she emphasized the importance of financial readiness to the military community.
Marquette completed her master’s degree in communications at Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2019. She is originally from Rome, NY, but now resides in Syracuse with her husband, Ryan, who currently serves in the Army National Guard after serving for eight years in active duty for the Army.
