Ashley Cavender is the Director of Alumni Services and Engagement at Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). In this role, Cavender is responsible for the strategy and oversight of alumni programs and resources as well as institute wide initiatives. She leads a team who support IVMF’s military-connected community and drive participation and impact.

Prior to joining IVMF, Cavender worked at Syracuse University’s Office of Alumni Engagement on the Outreach Programs team. She worked with countless alumni volunteers as well as on-campus and external partners to coordinate programs and streamline processes. Cavender holds a bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management.
