The Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship (STRIVE) is where an idea starts becoming a business.

Designed for veterans, service members, and military spouses in the earliest stages of entrepreneurship, STRIVE gives aspiring founders the tools, guidance, and community to test their ideas, build a strong foundation, and move forward with confidence.

Offered through a consortium of partners and colleges across the country, the no-cost program combines practical business education with hands-on learning over six to nine weeks, creating a clear path from idea to action.

The STRIVE Experience

While each of STRIVE’s ten consortium schools have their own unique take on the STRIVE curriculum, the core experience is comparable. All STRIVE participants go through an online orientation, followed by six to nine weekly in-person courses at their local consortium school at one of our ten community college campuses.

Upon completion of the program, participants also gain access to the community, resources, and expertise at both their consortium school and the IVMF. This ensures our graduates aren’t left on their own after the class ends, the support continues to give you the best possible chance to realize your business vision.

Taking the First Step

There are a lot of entrepreneurship and business programs out there. Some of them take a year or more to complete. Some are expensive. Some give you way more information than you need. Some are pretty far away. STRIVE will teach you how to validate your business idea and head toward launch with confidence, and do it in your own neighborhood at one of our ten community college consortium schools, free.

If you’re thinking about starting a business, or recently launched one and are just realizing how much you don’t know, STRIVE is a place to bridge the gap and get access to education, experts, support, and resources quickly.
