Transcript:

Hi, I’m Barb Carson, US Air Force veteran, mom of Airman Carson, who served in the Utah Air National Guard and the managing director for programs and policy at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families. At the IVMF, we want to be a part of empowering veterans to translate their military experience into opportunity, like getting the jobs they’ve dreamed of contributing to their communities through public service.

Getting a degree or starting a business. The team at IVMF is so dynamic and full of rich experience which includes people serving in the reserve and the guard, those who’ve retired from military service, military spouses who have dedicated their lives to research, program evaluation and the very best experience for veterans and military families through our programs.

The insights that we have about the success of so many programs, including those at the Department of War, Veteran Affairs, Department of Labor, and the US Small Business Administration, are trusted by Congress, by agency leaders, and by other veterans serving organizations. Together, we can make a difference in the quality of the services offered to veterans and military families. The D’Aniello Institute is a national leader in military to civilian transition. We’re not alone. And we shouldn’t be. We can’t do it all.

That’s why it’s important that we set the table and invite others to join us in serving the military community at that crucial point of transition from military service to civilian opportunity. At the D’Aniello Institute, were deeply grateful for all who served and for the families who stand beside them this Veterans Day and every day. We appreciate your service and your continued contributions to our country.
