Life after military service can sometimes be a challenge. It doesn’t have to be.

The Career you Never See

Military spouses are some of the most qualified, most adaptable individuals in the American workforce. They are also among the most overlooked. For too long, the data to prove both of those things has been scattered, incomplete, or absent from the conversations that matter.

IVMF is prioritizing military spouse

100K Entrepreneurs Impacted

One hundred thousand. That’s not a scoreboard update or a fundraising talking point. It’s 100,000 veterans and military spouses who looked at everything they’d been through and decided it was worth betting on themselves.

100,000 deserves to be celebrated

Entrepreneurship

Military families have leadership skills, resilience and attention to detail that make them perfect business owners. IVMF offers a series of programs for those with just the beginning of an idea, or those ready to take their business to the next level, at no cost for transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses.

Community Services

When military families return to the communities they call home, they deserve an efficient and supportive team to help them navigate the maze of resources available to them. IVMF works with community providers that streamline the support you need to sustain healthy and productive lives following military service.

Find Meaningful Employment

Transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses bring valuable skills and experience to civilian careers. So whether you are looking for no-cost training and professional certifications through Onward to Opportunity or continuing a life of service through our Veterans in Politics Program, you will enter your civilian career path with a leg up on the competition and resources by your side.

Research & Analytics

IVMF programs develop from listening to veterans and their families. A national leader in veteran research and analytics, located within a national research University, IVMF also provides actionable insights enabling other organizations to improve their service to veterans, active military and their families. Our research also helps to inform national policy, enhancing the work government agencies do on behalf of those who served.

Policy

IVMF’s policy team works with lawmakers and key stakeholders to improve the lives of veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life, advocating for legislation and policies at the local and national level. They also create opportunities for IVMF staff and program participants to testify in front of congress, to keep our nation’s lawmakers connected to the challenges veterans and their families face today.
