Head of Global Operations, Wells Fargo

David Owen is the Head of Global Operations for Wells Fargo. He leads a team of more than 85,000 people who provide middle and back-office operational services for Wells Fargo’s five lines of business (Consumer Banking, Consumer Lending, Wealth and Investment Management, Commercial Banking and Corporate and Investment Banking), the firm’s Enterprise Functions as well as managing the business operations located in India and the Philippines.

David joined Wells Fargo in June 2020 as the company’s Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for a broad range of managerial, administrative, and support services across Wells Fargo. This includes Business Resiliency, Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Data Management & Insights, Enterprise Change Management, Supply Chain Management, and the Strategic Execution Office.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, David led Wholesale Digital for JPMorgan. Before that he served as the Chief Administrative Officer of JPMorgan Chase and Chief Financial Officer of the Consumer & Community Bank, which encompasses Consumer Banking, Home Lending, Card Services, Auto Finance, Business Banking, and Chase Wealth Management. David’s experience also includes leadership roles at Bank of America and Booz Allen Hamilton. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MBA from George Mason University. He serves on the board of directors for the American Red Cross of Greater New York and the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families.
