The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) received a $712,000 grant from The Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation to continue supporting the coordinated care network, TXServes-Rio Grande Valley over the next two years. With this renewed opportunity, the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation has contributed more than $1.9 million to address needs of veterans and their families, improving their health and quality of life in the Rio Grande Valley. Since launching in the summer of 2019, the TXServes-RGV has grown to a thriving network of 60+ health and human services organizations capable of addressing the needs of service members, veterans and military families living in the Rio Grande Valley. To date, TXServes-RGV has reached almost 750 military-connected clients and provided access to almost 2,000 services and resources. This grant will allow TXServes-RGV to continue assisting military-connected families as they recover from challenges brought on by the COVID-19 public health emergency.
