Nate Bates joined IVMF in November 2025 having previously worked at the Syracuse University Center for International Services since July 2022. Nate assists the Entrepreneurship & Small Business team with database and event logistics to help further the IVMF’s mission and goals.

Nate is a graduate of SUNY Oswego, having received a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and minors in Business Administration and Art Management in 2018. Nate started his career in higher education in 2017 as a Resident Advisor and Teacher Assistant and has pursued a career path assisting non-traditional students (transfer, international, veterans, etc.) in the ways they study, work and live while attending school and after graduation.

In his free time, Nate enjoys all things aquatic and the beach, playing video games, live theater, attending local events with friends and traveling with his wife and 2 miniature dachshunds.
