Daa’iyah Salaam is the Career Preparation Program Manager at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) and brings more than a decade of experience in workforce development, higher education, public policy, strategic planning, and data-driven performance improvement.
Prior to joining IVMF, she served as a Senior Policy and Strategy Analyst supporting the U.S. Department of Defense’s Chief Talent Management Office, where she led strategic initiatives focused on national workforce pipelines, talent management modernization, and cross-sector partnerships. Her career also includes leadership roles in institutional research within the Technical College System of Georgia, where she developed performance management systems, workforce analytics, and strategic initiatives that improved student success and strengthened regional workforce development.

Salaam has advised government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations on designing collaborative strategies that connect education, economic development, and industry to create equitable pathways to employment and economic mobility. Her work focuses on translating complex workforce challenges into scalable, data-informed solutions that strengthen communities and expand access to opportunity.

Salaam is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified ScrumMaster. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Albany State University and is ABD (All But Dissertation) in the Doctor of Public Administration program at Valdosta State University, where her research examines the role of community colleges and public-sector partnerships in advancing workforce participation and economic mobility.
