IVMF’s Shaheen Asked to Assist in Developing New CARF Accreditation Standards

Gary Shaheen, MPA, IVMF’s Director of Community-Based Technical Support Initiatives was one of the invited national policy and program experts asked to assist the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) to develop new CARF accreditation standards for rapid rehousing on February 20 and 21 in New Orleans. These standards, once reviewed by the field and approved, will be provided nationally and internationally to organizations seeking CARF accreditation to improve the quality of their rapid rehousing programs for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The standards will be applicable to, but not exclusive to rapid rehousing programs serving veterans who are homeless. More about CARF can be found on their website: http://www.carf.org/home/
