Inc. Business Media, in partnership with Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, announced the seventh annual Vet100 list—a compilation of the nation’s fastest-growing veteran-owned businesses. The Vet100 was born out of the iconic Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies based in the United States. Both distinctions are considered hallmarks of entrepreneurial success.
“Veteran entrepreneurs apply leadership and management skills learned from their military service to fuel their business growth and benefit local communities,” said Dr. Mike Haynie, Syracuse University Vice Chancellor as well as the Founder and Executive Director of the D’Aniello IVMF. “These business owners are a critical component of the small business landscape, and we’re excited to see IVMF program graduates recognized by Inc. Business Media, particularly those who are enjoying recurring placement on the Vet100 list. We appreciate Inc.’s ongoing commitment to highlighting these success stories. We all take pride in moments like these and we’re grateful for the continued partnership with Inc. Business Media.”
This year, 31 veteran-owned businesses have the distinction of making repeat appearances on the Vet100 list. This year’s honorees employ almost 11,000 people throughout the country, and nearly 25 percent of those businesses appearing on the Vet100 list are alumni of the IVMF’s programs. Also, this year’s list features 17 CEOs who are women, a unique community of entrepreneurs the IVMF supports through its Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) program.
The honorees will be recognized at a dinner and awards ceremony as a part of the IVMF’s Veteran EDGE Conference in Dallas, Texas, in March 2025. The ceremony is sponsored by payments and financial services technology provider Fiserv, one of the IVMF’s strategic partners and a founding member of the Coalition for Veteran Owned Business, a national initiative to support the success of businesses owned by veterans, service members, and military spouses.
“Fiserv takes great pride in supporting the military community and is dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through sharing best practices, providing support, creating connections, leveraging networks, and standing firm in our values, we aim to empower and enable the success of veteran-owned businesses,” said Dr. Vivian Greentree, Head of Global Corporate Citizenship at Fiserv, who is also a Navy veteran and military spouse. “We are honored to once again power the Vet100, a platform that recognizes and champions the accomplishments of veteran entrepreneurs across the nation. The growth and success of these businesses truly reflect their hard work and determination. We eagerly anticipate their continued achievements,” Dr. Greentree added.
