Kim Street
Kim Street serves as the Boots to Business Program Manager. Prior to this position, she was the Program Manager for Reboot, where she managed the Boots to Business Reboot program at the IVMF. The program supported veterans of any era, service members (including National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses interested in exploring entrepreneurial opportunities. It was a two-day training program that provided participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge of the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private resources.
Prior to joining IVMF, Kim was with Verizon as Director of Operations – Installation and Maintenance, where she was responsible for Service delivery of Voice, Data and TV for traditional copper lines and FIOS. She managed a work force of 700 technicians and managers in Buffalo, Central NY and the Southern Tier. Her team successfully deployed FIOS TV in Syracuse and Auburn. She managed FIOS and FIOS TV rollout throughout various locations in New York State, including Bronx, Queens and Syracuse.
For 31 years she held many positions including Customer Service Rep, Call Center Manager, District Manager for Repair Call Centers, and Director of Operations – Installation and Maintenance. She became skilled at conflict resolution as a direct result of her daily involvement with CWA and IBEW.
Kim has been actively involved with volunteer work at Assumption Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, Mission of Miracles – mission trip to El Salvador and St. Ann’s Church in Manlius.
She resides in Manlius with her husband Bob.
