Melissa Navarro is the Assistant Director at the D’Aniello Institute for Veteran and Military Families (IVMF) Development Team. In this role, she oversees the development, implementation, and management of fundraising campaigns aimed at cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a pool of donors for the annual giving program at the IVMF.

With her background in nonprofit work, Melissa brings experience in volunteer management, event planning, and multi-level fundraising. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Nutrition Science from Syracuse University, where she served as a Supervisor with Syracuse University Ambulance. Though she initially planned to attend medical school, she found her true passion in the nonprofit sector, where she is dedicated to advancing the mission of the organizations she works with.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys immersing herself in a good book and finding balance through yoga.
