“O2O marks a new beginning for me. The training has allowed me to leverage my degree, sharpen my skills, better market myself, and improve upon my credentials as I strive to secure employment in the IT field. Thank you for including military spouses in this eye-opening transition program.”

Track: IT (Computer Technology Fundamentals and Operating Systems)
Onward to Opportunity – formerly known as the Veteran Career Transition Program – at Tri-Base Jacksonville offers two career tracks: Information Technology and Business Management. Your journey will begin with four days of face-to-face career development training and facilitation. This classroom training includes the two-day Onward to Your Career course, one-day of Community Support briefs and mock interview sessions with local employer partners, and one-day of your industry foundations followed by the Employer Spotlights and networking event. The classroom portion is followed by 12-16 weeks of online coursework to earn an industry certification.
While you complete your certification coursework, you will also participate in mixer/networking events with our National Employer Partners to hone your personal marketing techniques and skills. This is a great way to gain inside perspective on careers in the private sector while introducing yourself to companies who are looking to hire O2O graduates. Additionally, our National Partner Hire Heroes USA will also help to build your resume and prepare you for interviews.
