The Onward to Opportunity Program for the Florida Military Communities

The Onward to Opportunity(O2O) Program for the Florida Military Communities offers an enhanced experience with both in-person and virtual/hybrid opportunities. It directly serves the Tri-Base Jacksonville Military Community as well as our satellite MacDill Military Community and virtually for Other Military Communities in the great State of Florida.

The Onward to Opportunity (O2O) program offers over 50 Information Technology certifications and our Business Management track offers Project Management, Six Sigma and HR certifications. The coursework is virtual and available 24/7. The courses are asynchronous, semi-self-paced and can be completed ahead of schedule.

Candidates begin their O2O journey with the face-to-face career development training course called Onward to Your Career (OTYC). This classroom training is facilitated by 50+ hiring managers, recruiters, and alumni volunteers. It includes career development modules such as Working in a Digital World, Navigating Growth & Change, Salary Negotiations, Organizational Culture and Personal Branding & Networking to name a few. We also include mock interview sessions with local employer partners and the week culminates in an Employer Spotlight Networking event! This four-day phenomenal career development in-person portion is followed by 6 months of online coursework (with milestones) and exam preparation to earn an industry certification.

NOTE: For those who are pursuing the PMP certification you will also be required to attend a 5-Day Virtual Bootcamp that corresponds to your cohort start date.

While you complete your certification coursework, you will also participate in local mixer/networking events with our national and community employer partners and veteran support organizations to hone your personal marketing techniques and skills. Networking is a great way to gain an inside perspective on careers in the private sector while introducing yourself to companies that are looking to hire O2O graduates.
