Anthony Cosby
Anthony Cosby is the Director for Employer Outreach at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University. He provides management, operational, recruitment expertise, and creative effort to engage employer support to provide workforce placement and employment opportunities for transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses. Anthony previously led the launch of the Onward to Opportunity (O2O) program at Joint Base San Antonio.
As a former Alumni Career Coach for The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Anthony provided individual career coaching, occupational information, mentorship, and job search strategies for over 91,000 active alumni worldwide, 30,000 students and 2,800 student veterans. He was previously a Campus Director for Webster University at Fort Sam Houston.
Anthony is a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, having retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his career, he held key leadership positions and made numerous deployments including an assignment aboard USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He received numerous Navy Commendation Medals and was recognized as the U.S. Navy Recruiter of the Year while stationed at Navy Recruiting District San Antonio.
Anthony holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.
