Jacob Brown serves as the Budget Manager who is responsible for assisting the Director of Budget in overseeing the grant process and grant project budgets. He will provide support throughout the proposal budgeting and closeout to ensure key stakeholder needs are met. Responsibilities include collaboration with program/project management to ensure compliance and timeliness of project expenditures, analysis of project activity compared to budget as well as providing reporting to program area leads to establish that spending is on track and within grant requirements.

Prior to joining Syracuse University, Jacob spent the last six years working for Equitable within Accounts Payable and the Corporate Sourcing & Procurement department. There he contributed key-deliverables to develop third-party spend initiatives to decrease addressable spend, managed the assignment of all new sourcing projects for the company as well as provided detailed reporting to the Operating Committee regularly.

Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY Geneseo.
