Mariah Brennan is a Research Associate at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). Mariah holds an MPA from the University of Connecticut and is currently a student in the Social Science PhD program at Syracuse’s Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs. Brennan is a mix-methods researcher with experience in survey development, focus groups and interview research, and data analysis. Her work with the IVMF explores the social determinants of health for veterans and veteran transition experiences.

Prior to joining the IVMF, Mariah worked as a Summer Associate at RAND and as a Lerner Fellow at Syracuse University’s Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion and Population Health. Most of her work has focused on health inequalities, especially among at-risk populations. Mariah is also an inaugural recipient of the Bernard D. and Louise C. Rostker IVMF Fellowship.
