Open Call is an action-packed one-day virtual event. Walmart welcomes suppliers to virtually pitch product that is shelf-ready and made, grown or assembled in the United States. However, only several days remain to apply for Walmart’s eighth annual Open Call. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 30.  So far, more than 3,500 businesses have applied for the chance to pitch their products, and more than 10,300 merchant meetings have been requested for the Open Call event on June 30th.

Army veteran Sherman Williams, IVMF EBV graduate and Veteran EDGE participant, attended a previous Open Call to successfully earn a “yes” to do business with Walmart. His product Body Aqua was inspired by his 12-18 hour days in the army where he discovered caffeinated products were more negative than positive to a soldier’s health. What was once a thought in his mind while overseas is now a real product on Walmart shelves.
