Yes. It is our position that through your service, you have already earned the price of admission. We have assumed the responsibility to raise the necessary funds to cover all costs associated with the Phase II Bootcamp portion of the program. Travel expenses, lodging, meals, program materials, textbooks, and the cost of the program itself will be funded entirely by the EBV program for those students accepted into the program.

Starting a business is hard. The EBV program was developed and designed as an intense, rigorous program positioned to help those individuals with a drive, determination, and passion for business ownership take the first steps toward that goal. As such, we are seeking applicants who have demonstrated such drive and determination in their approach to life and work. The letter of recommendation can come from personal or professional sources, such as from current or former co-workers, commanders, supervisors, counselors, etc. The letter of recommendation will assist us in the admissions assessment. A letter of recommendation from a family member is strongly discouraged.

The letter should be written for your interest in applying to the EBV. Letters written for college or job applications are not acceptable. The writer (military supervisors, supervisor of civilian employment, or community leaders) of the letter should include the following information within the letter:

• Who they are
• Their contact information
• How they know you
• Why they feel you’d be a good candidate for the EBV
• Their experience working with you

Yes. The only qualifications to be eligible for the program are military service post-9/11 and a passion for starting your own business.

No. The EBV is designed to take any students who qualify for the EBV program, regardless of prior educational experiences, through the steps and stages of starting a new business.

EBV operates on a rolling admissions process and generally, there is an EBV occurring at one of our Consortium Universities from March – November each year.  Though there is no application deadline, it is best to submit the application at least 3-4 months prior to the start of a program.

Yes, applications to EBV remain active in our system for two years from the submission date. After this period, applications are considered expired and will need to be resubmitted or updated to ensure all information is current and aligns with your most recent entrepreneurial goals.
