Breaking Barriers in Entrepreneurship is a virtual program that facilitates business growth and support within Asian American & Pacific Islander, Black, Hispanic, and female veteran and military spouse communities.

The eight-week program is designed to create an immediate impact for early to growth-stage businesses by providing access to business tools, resources, capital opportunities, mentorship, and a stronger peer network.

Program Overview


Topics are curated for each cohort based on the most requested topics from applications to ensure the most relevant information is being covered. Topics are subject to change from cohort to cohort but often include the following:

Program Schedule


Program cohorts are formed by community group and meet the following days/times below:

  • Asian American & Pacific Islander Entrepreneurs: Thursdays @ 1 pm CT
  • Black Entrepreneurs: Tuesdays @ 11 am CT
  • Female Entrepreneurs: Tuesdays @ 1 pm CT
  • Latinx Entrepreneurs: Thursdays @ 11 am CT

The Breaking Barriers in Entrepreneurship program offers three cohorts a year, so you can find a time that best fits your schedule.

If selected to participate, you must attend at least 50% of the program meetings to be considered an “alumni” of the program. If you miss more than 50% of the meeting times, you’ll be dropped from the program and removed from the online platforms.
