Maria Victoria Curzel serves as a Program Coordinator for Community Services at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). In her role, Victoria supports the team’s portfolio of projects and services. These initiatives are centered around the provision of technical assistance to an array of communities, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, with the overarching objective to empower these entities with heightened capabilities and enable them to provide enhanced support to the military community.

Victoria brings over a decade of experience spanning government, diplomatic missions, and the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining the IVMF, she was as a consultant for civil society organizations acting as a project manager and human rights advocacy advisor facilitating participatory governance processes in international spaces. She has also represented the Government of Argentina at the United Nations where she negotiated intergovernmental documents and worked for the Argentine Embassy in Washington supporting initiatives to advance bilateral cooperation with the United States.

She holds a Master of Public Policy (Honors) from the University of Maryland and a BA (Cum Laude) in Communication Studies with a Minor in Diversity Awareness. Victoria is also an IVMF Onward to Opportunity alumna and obtained her Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) certification through the program. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Victoria is a military spouse and resides in New Jersey with her husband and son.
