Neeraj Singh
Neeraj Singh is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for USAA, one of America’s leading financial services companies, which offers insurance, banking, and investment and retirement solutions to its more than 13 million members. Singh, a proud USAA member, oversees all aspects of the association’s enterprise risk management and compliance functions. He joined USAA in January 2021.
Previously, Singh was Chief Risk Officer, U.S. Consumer Bank and Head of Global Consumer Risk Modeling, at Citi. He was responsible for organization-wide risk management and risk governance for all businesses within the U.S. Consumer Bank, including Retail Banking, Mortgages, Wealth Management, Small Business, Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending. Singh managed the strategic direction and priorities of risk management for U.S. Consumer Bank while ensuring the safety and soundness of lending portfolios and risk-taking activities.
Singh also led Citi’s Global Consumer Bank Risk Modeling Utility, where he united all modeling efforts across businesses and geographies covering decision and regulatory models to drive best-in-class methodologies, execution agility, innovation and talent strategy.
Prior to these roles, Singh worked at Citi from 2017 to 2021 and from 2002 to 2007 in various risk, finance, and decision management roles.
From 2011 to 2017, Singh was a senior risk executive at TD Bank and held numerous leadership roles. In his last role at TD, Singh was the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Consumer Credit, Model Development and Risk Capital Assessment, leading key risk functions for the bank for all consumer businesses across North America. He joined TD Bank as its Chief Risk Officer, North American Credit Cards & Merchant Services, responsible for leading the risk management function for the business unit.
Prior to joining TD in 2011, Singh spent five years at Barclays in several global leadership roles in risk management across the UK, U.S., Europe and other geographies.
He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland with a concentration in finance and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in India. Singh also completed the Advanced Risk Management Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Singh and his wife, Archana, are empty nesters with two adult children. In his spare time, Singh, a tennis enthusiast, enjoys being active and experimenting with various cuisines from around the world.
