Help Shape the Future of Veteran Services in Kentucky
The Syracuse University D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) is proud to partner with the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs to strengthen support for veterans, service members, and military families across the Commonwealth. Together, we’re working to design a statewide coordinated care network that better connects military-connected individuals to the programs, resources, and services they need.
Kentucky is home to a proud and significant military-connected community, and the organizations and individuals serving them every day bring invaluable knowledge and experience that no report or dataset can fully capture. Yet even with so many dedicated providers and programs in place, navigating that landscape can be complex. Too often, the people who need support face fragmented systems, duplicated efforts, or gaps that leave critical needs unmet.
This project seeks to elevate insights from Kentucky’s military-serving organizations, letting their voices shape a system of support that is more connected, accessible, and effective in serving the Commonwealth’s military-connected community.

The people and organizations serving this population every day have invaluable knowledge and experience that no report or dataset can fully capture. That’s why we’re actively engaging service providers, community leaders, and stakeholders across Kentucky to help inform the design of this network.
Through focus groups and community conversations, we’re gathering on-the-ground insights on what’s working, where gaps exist, and how we can build a stronger, more connected system together. We believe the best solutions are shaped by those closest to the work.
Our role is to elevate your voice and ensure your expertise helps guide this effort. You are the ones with the experience and expertise to shape the community from someone who lives within it.

Enhancing New Mexico Veteran Services
The IVMF engaged with 41 non-profit and government organizations servicing veterans and the military-connected community to assess the current state of New Mexico’s veteran services landscape.
Using those insights, IVMF now is leading the community design and planning phase to curate a roadmap for coordinated care success
